In 2008 Madonna and Guy's marriage fell apart. Their son was only eight years old at that time. Ritchie reportedly said:

I want to be able to go about my business and live my life without all the hoopla. Unfortunately, she can't live without all the hoopla.

Our marriage was a three-ring circus in the end.

Rocco Ritchie decided to live with his father

After Madonna and Ritchie divorced, the boy spent more time with his mom in the United States. The mother and the son seemed to have a great relationship; Rocco was always with her beloved mom.

When Rocco was 12, he joined his mother for an interview on The Ellen Show. Ellen asked him what kind of mom Madonna was, and the boy said:

She's a good mother, yes. She's very strict, but in a good way.

Although Madonna described herself as a 'hands-on mom', it seemed Rocco wasn't happy enough. It seemed he didn't get enough of her attention, as she was consumed by her musical projects. And when he did get her attention, it was not the right kind.

In December 2015, it came to light that Rocco moved to London and had been living with his father and his new family for quite some time, E! News reported. Richie and Madonna negotiated a new custody agreement, and Rocco stayed with his dad.

Madonna’s children

Rocco is Madonna’s oldest son. He already went to study at Parsons School of Design in New York, Daily Mail reported. He has an older sister, Lourdes Leon.

Later Madonna decided to adopt, she adopted a boy and three girls from Malawi.

Madonna has a large and diverse family, she is a great mother despite all rumors. Rocco is old enough to decide where to live, but no matter what he will remain part of her mother's family. We hope their mother-son bond will be strong wherever Rocco is.
