He has two adult children from his first marriage and now he is a father to a baby girl from his relationship with his partner, a fellow actress Louise Ford.

Louise is in her 30s and just starting making big steps in the film industry so Atkinson reportedly decided to let his girlfriend build her career while he will be taking care of their baby.

The comedian surprised his fans by telling them he plans to take a break from acting to look after his baby daughter, Isla.

The 64-year-old revealed he is taking a year-off and becoming a full-time dad to “Baby Bean” while his girlfriend focuses on her career.

According to the Sun, Atkinson said:

I am going to take care of Baby Bean while Louise has the chance to concentrate on acting.

Rowan and Louise met in 2013 and four years later, they welcomed their bundle of joy. The British star’s decision to look after one-year-old Isla comes at the perfect time as Ford’s career is soaring up at the moment.

The 35-year-old starred as Kate Middleton in Channel 4 new comedy series The Windsors. Not too shabby for the first big role!

We are sure Rowan Atkinson is a great father, and it is so great that more and more fathers are allowed to take paternity leave. And what do you think? Share your thoughts in comments.
