In August 2019, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s ten-year on-and-off relationship and eight-month marriage came to an end. And the singer is throwing some subtle shade at the actor.

The young couple called it quits less than a year after getting married. According to court documents obtained by CNN, the Last Song star cited "irreconcilable differences" as the main reason for the separation.

The Australian actor broke his silence on the split in a brief statement on Instagram and said he will not be addressing their separation as it’s a "private matter" for them.

The singer shades her ex

The Wrecking Ball hitmaker recently took a swipe at her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. In an Instagram live stream, Cyrus said she thought all men were evil and was left with no choice but to be gay. She said:

I always thought I had to be gay because I just thought, like, all guys were evil, but it's not true. There are good people out there. I've only ever met one.

Social media users were upset that Cyrus suggested people "don't have to be gay" in her live video.

After news of Miley and Liam’s split broke, the singer was spotted having steamy PDA with Brody Jenner's ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter in Italy.

This sparked dating rumors between the pair who were spotted out together. Later, reports surfaced that they had called off their speculated romantic relationship.

Miley’s new boo

Having announced her split from her former husband, Liam Hemsworth back in August, Cyrus now is dating Cody Simpson. It looks like the singer may have even made their relationship official.

Miley left the comment "Boo thang" on a photo Cody shared on Instagram. The two have been friends for years as they move in the same circle.

While Miley is having fun with a new lover Cody Simpson, Liam has seemingly moved on with Dynasty star Maddison Brown.
