Who is Doctor Pimple Popper?

Doctor Pimple Popper, whose real name is Sandra Lee was born on December 20, 1970. Today she is a well-recognized American dermatologist who works in Upland, California. Sandra Lee started uploading her videos to YouTube in 2010 however she wasn’t very active. In 2015 she began to post more and more after she noticed the popularity of her Instagram videos. People liked the videos of skin extractions and they continue to love such footages. Dr. Pimple Popper offers free treatment or discounts in exchange for client permission to record and post content. But that wasn’t all. Sandra Lee decided to move further. In 2017, she started her own line of skincare products, called SLMD Skincare Products. The doctor has several products in her line including acne lotion and cleaner, clarifying products with retinol, and moisturizer. Earlier Sandra Lee also marketed comedone extractors and other skincare tools. The products were branded with her name.

In 2018, Doctor Pimple Popper started collaborating with TLC to have her own Dr. Pimple Popper TV show. The first episodes premiered on July 1, 2018. She even had a special Christmas episode, named "The 12 Pops of Christmas", which was broadcasted on December 13, 2018. The second season began in 2019, and the third season started on July 11, 2019.

Doctor Pimple Popper’s early life

Sandra Lee was born and spent her first years in Flushing, New York in a Chinese family. Her dad is a Chinese Singaporean while her mom is a Malaysian Chinese. Both of her parents had lived in poverty until they decided to start a new life. Sandra Lee’s father and mother migrated to New York in 1969 and they moved to Southern California when the girl was five years old.

Sandra Lee studied at UCLA when she was an undergraduate student. During her university years, the future dermatologist began her career as a part-time medical assistant for an allergist in Downtown Los Angeles. After her graduation at UCLA, she continued to study at the Drexel University College of Medicine and graduated in 1998.

Doctor Pimple Popper completed her dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University, but she didn’t stop at that point. Sandra Lee moved to San Diego to gain job experience with laser, dermatological and cosmetic surgery. Today Lee lives in Upland and works at Skin Physicians & Surgeons. She is happily married to her husband, Jeffrey Rebish.
