Whether you were brought up in a Christian home or not, the only reason the message of God's love got to you is that someone was selfless enough to pass it on. Yet, for most believes, this right is left to pastors and evangelists alone.

Tim Tebow is a professing Christian who makes conscious effort to share the message of Christ's love to others.

Tim Tebow emphasizes the importance of believers' kingdom

In a recent message at the Liquid Church in Parsippany, New Jersey, the athlete, author, and philanthropist shared a personal experience of sharing God's love.

He was at an airport in Atlanta when he saw a man who walked with a limp. He felt inspired to share God's word with him but reconsidered because he had a strep throat. But after the incidence, he felt very uncomfortable for not sharing the word in spite of how he felt in his body

In a form of restitution, he decided to do so at the next opportunity that arises. Thankfully, it wasn't too long before he found himself on an airplane and met a man with prosthetic legs.

The boomerang effect of obedience

In the course of their conversation, Tim discovered he had been in the military and thanked him for his service to the nation. He went ahead to share God's love with him and even asked the flight attendant if he could give his first-class seat to the man.

Several passangers saw and identified him, so they decided to speak with Tim.

Among them was a woman who had marital issues and opened up to Tim. He encouraged her and told that we never can tell what opportunities lie ahead of us.

To obey is better than sacrifice

Thankfully, God gave Tim Tebow another opportunity to share the message of His love, and he took advantage of it. But the scripture tells us that:

Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LordBehold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. 1 Sam 15:22

In other words, it is always best to do what we must do and get it right the first time because we are not all assured of a second chance. Never pass on an opportunity to share God's love with someone even if it means discomforting yourself for a while.

After all, its the message that cost God the life of His only begotten son.
