5 Useless Cosmetic Products

Date November 23, 2018 11:47

In every woman's cosmetics bag, there is a basic selection of skin care items without which she simply couldn't imagine her existence. However, there are certain types of cosmetic products that are questionable. Aesthetic medicine specialists have come to the conclusion that there are a huge number of cosmetic products on the market that are absolutely useless for potential consumers, and the only merit of the companies that manufacture them is the ability to pump out the consumer's hard-earned money. Let's find out what kind of cosmetics you actually don't need at all.

1. Facial tonic

We think that facial tonic is a necessary thing since we don't have a clear idea of what our skin needs. It's far better to use an ecologically clear soap or face cleansing cream that doesn't disrupt the natural biochemical balance of dermis cells. However, if you still like this product, then choose the type of facial tonic that doesn't contain alcohol.

2. Anti-cellulite products

Let's be serious: any cosmetic products offering to treat cellulite have absolutely no effectiveness. Cellulite (gynoid lipodystrophy) is a metabolic pathology of a mainly hormonal nature that has a complex pathophysiological mechanism and can't be treated without lifestyle modification. If you have decided you want to fight this flaw, you should, first of all, adjust your diet, get rid of harmful habits, and start doing regular sports. Don't waste your money or time on something that's absolutely useless.

3. Hand cream, foot cream, and body cream

People believe that they need special creams for every body part. Undoubtedly, it's a very smart marketing trick. In reality, however, the only beneficial cream is one for the face. And you can use the same cream for other body parts since they all work in a similar way.

4. Shampoos and other cosmetic products for damaged hair

It sounds very promising, but no miracle method can actually help damaged hair recover. The product can help your hair look softer and brighter, but it still won't make it healthier. However, there is another thing you can do, try to visit your hairdresser. New healthy hair will grow in the place of the damaged hair.

5. Night moisturizing face cream

According to modern dermatological research, the most essential metabolic reactions and regeneration of the skin take place at night. Regular use of cream disrupts these processes, which causes self-healing to be less effective and inhibits the secretory activity of the sebaceous glands. In time, it leads to even more dryness since the skin becomes dependent on external moisturizing.

Undoubtedly, it's very difficult to make yourself be rational when it concerns beauty. On the other hand, acting on marketing tricks and wasting lots of money is a stupid luxury. Do your best to remain cold-hearted and analyze markets in order to choose the most beneficial products.
