3 Easy And Cheap Ways To Clean The Soiled Filter Of The Extractor Hood

The first way

Before you start, try to look for the baking tray where the filter would fit. If you don’t have it, the saucepan will do. At first, pour the boiling water into the chosen reservoir. Dilute the soda at a rate of 5 tablespoons per 33.8 oz (1 liter). Pour it gradually so that it doesn’t boil.

Now, lower the filter and leave it for 10-15 minutes. You can boil it if there are no plastic elements. After that, clean the dirt with a toothbrush or sponge.

The second way

Put the sponge into the acetic acid. Wipe all dirty areas, paying special attention to the oldest spots. If the case is complicated, leave it for up to 12 minutes, and if not – up to 7. For fresh contaminants, it is better to dilute the acid with water in the proportion of 1 to 2. But for the old ones, the pure concentrate is much better. In the end, rinse it well, lather the filter with a dish soap, and wipe with a sponge.

The third way

Peel 1-2 lemons, cut them in half. Grind the filter with the pulp and leave it in a tightened bag for 5-10 minutes. After that, wipe the filter with a damp soft sponge. In case of severe contamination, the procedure will have to be repeated 2-3 times. When finished, wash as usual.
