"Cat-and-dog life" is what we're used to hearing about people who can't get along. Many of us believe the myth that these animals are each other's worst enemies. Well, perhaps, sometimes they fail to coexist; however, they won't hang each other out to dry.

The video where a dog is saving a cat's life has been gaining popularity on social media. The feline was drowning in a fountain, fighting a losing battle against the water, trying to make it to the ledge until the dog jumped in and dragged it out.
Awww melt my heart! Animals are real friends! 🤗🤗🤗 pic.twitter.com/oNpNHPHm1j— Figen Sezgin (@thefigensezgin) December 18, 2018
At first, the cat got scared and even attacked the dog with its paw but then gave in and allowed itself to be rescued.
Naturally, Twitter users couldn't let the clip go unnoticed. While some people admired the dog's heroic deed, others were enraged that the person filming the video didn't help the cat.

The cat was not yet in immediate danger. It was interesting to see, what a dog can do to help. Sure, if it had tuned worse the person filming had helped. Don't blame him.— Laszlo Lebrun (@rin67630) December 22, 2018
I’m glad I’m not the only one pissed at whoever is filming this. I would never grab my phone to start filming, I would help the cat out. People make me sad.— Bondi to Basic (@bonditobasic) December 19, 2018
By the way, it is not the only case where a dog comes to a cat's rescue. For instance, this canine prevented his furry friend from getting into a fight with its opponent.
Another dog helped a cat out of a paper cup its head was trapped in.
What do you think about the idea that animals are more humane than people? Or maybe you agree that if the cat's life had been in immediate danger, the person filming the video would have helped it? Share your opinion in the comments below!
