New Homeowner Found A Note From Ex-Owners And Did As They Asked

Date November 9, 2018 19:19

Moving into a new house is simultaneously an exciting and unpredictable event. Especially if you have concerns that previous owners left behind some unpleasant surprises such as piles of garbage or rodents' nests. But this woman got lucky: she didn't discover anything that would make her scurry away from her new dwelling. On the contrary, what was left behind has completely transformed her life.

A 23-year old lady by the name of Miranda from Washington, D.C. found an unusual note in her new house. It started with a greeting and then proceeded to tell some important things the new owner should know. The note warned her about a previous tenant that remained at the house. Of course, such an announcement wold give anyone the chills; however, the situation cleared up soon enough.

The tenant, not willing to leave the cozy asylum, turned out to be a feral peach-coloured cat. Miranda in an interview

When we first read the note we laughed we thought it was sweet, but we also thought it was funny because we are like stray cat magnets. 4 of our 5 current cats were strays.

But even that wasn't the most surprising thing. When Miranda had finished reading the letter, she noticed that the four-legged neighbour was already standing at the door. The cat wasn't afraid at all and was eyeing the new friends with curiosity.

He wasn’t scared of us at all, when we are outside he keeps his distance but he [doesn’t] run, he even comes to the door to let us know when he’s hungry... Earlier today he met our dog, Nyx, and I think it went pretty well.

The furry tenant was named Razum Dar after a video game character. He sleeps behind a rock in the yard and feels quite at ease. The new dwellers in their turn not only fulfill the request to feed the kitty but also try to befriend their free-spirited housemate.

The post with a note got over a thousand views. Many of Miranda's followers even shared their opinions and advice:

Don't give up, he'll come around (fingers crossed). He's gorgeous!

Thank you for continuing to care for and love this sweet kitty.

Also, a lot of people were wondering where the kitty sleeps in bad weather. The new homeowners made Raz a temporary home to stay dry in, and it seems as if he has really taken to it.

As you can see, sometimes life takes the most surprising turns: some of them have whiskers and a tail.
