Birds are footloose creatures, so they fly where they want and nest where it's the most comfortable. However, people aren't always in favor of their choice of place and therefore some unpleasantries occur. For instance, residents of this exclusive part of Bristol have come up with a cruel way of scaring away the bird kind.

There are wealthy people living in the posh Clifton area, who own cars appropriate to their status. They often park them in front of buildings. And, well, the birds residing in the trees don't care for what's down there and naturally do their business without considering humans' interests.

But the car owners didn't enjoy scraping bird poop off their BMWs and Audis all the time. Therefore, they installed anti-bird spikes on two trees. Those are normally put on buildings' ledges to keep the birds off them.

Animal rights activists were enraged with such turn of events and insisted that the bird-repelling spikes be removed from the trees.

The pricey cars drivers say their actions are exclusively motivated by care for the cars. For some reason, birds are particularly drawn to this part of the neighborhood so there are a lot of them here.

There were other attempts of scaring the birds away, such as a wooden bird of prey, but they were futile.

What do you think about this matter? Which side do you choose – animal rights advocates or the owners of the cars? Please, share your opinion in the comments!
