A dog is not only a man’s best friend, but also a lifesaver. On the internet, there are plenty of examples of how faithful pets come to their masters’ rescue, when they are in trouble.
They act decisively and quickly, regardless of size, breed, or age.
One of the recent cases, reported by a Russian news network, occurred in a small town near St. Petersburg, in late August. An unknown man attacked an 11-year-old girl when she went for a walk with her bull terrier. The attacker grabbed the girl by the legs, and dragged her towards outbuildings, hitting her with a stick.
The dog gnawed through its muzzle and rushed to save the mistress. In an act of devotion, the bull terrier fought off the attacker, who ran away for dear life.
Another heroic dog story happened in the USA. Paula Godwin from Phoenix went for a walk with her two dogs, Copper and Todd. The routine stroll was interrupted by the appearance of a deadly reptile.
Paula was about to step on a rattlesnake, which could have turned fatal, but her brave Golden Retriever, Todd, came to the rescue, jumping in front of her foot. However, in his attempt to defend a human, Todd got bitten himself.
Luckily, the brave dog survived thanks to the timely administered antidote and Paula's care.
Needless to say, these people are endlessly grateful to their shaggy friends for saving their lives.
