The story behind the song

Shallow, released on September 27, 2018, became the main soundtrack to the movie A Star is Born. The song was written by Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt.

In the film, it appears three times, including in the scene where Jackson (Cooper) invites Ally (Gaga) to perform it with him on stage. By the way, this scene was filmed before a live audience in Los Angeles.

The song received positive reviews from critics and topped the music charts in more than 12 countries. In addition, Shallow has won numerous awards, including a Golden Globe and an Oscar.

The meaning of the song

Shallow generally reflects the story of the main character, an unknown talented girl, Ally, who is helped onto the big stage by country-singer Jackson who has lost the meaning of life.

Interestingly, Lady Gaga was originally supposed to sing Shallow solo, but Bradley quickly realized that the duo would better suit the design of the film.

This song is a conversation between a man and a woman, asking each other questions about life and a desire for more depth of the shallowness of a modern era.

The singer went on to tell that the song had been written from the point of view of Ally and was supposed to become one of the reasons they fall in love.

The performance of Shallow at the Oscars mesmerized the audience and sparked a lot of rumors, mainly because of the obvious chemistry between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. It only proves again that they are insanely talented artists.
