Member of America’s most famous celebrity clan, 21-year-old Kylie Jenner, has been recently recognized as the youngest billionaire in history among those who independently earned their capital.
Despite her young age, Kim Kardashian’s younger sister's fortune reached a 10-digit number, thus overtaking Mark Zuckerberg. The founder of Facebook earned his first billion at the age of 23.
Kylie Jenner gained most of her fame thanks to the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians in which she has been involved since she was 10.
While starring in the show, she also began her modeling career as a teenager. She has already appeared on hundreds of glossy covers and as part of numerous advertising campaigns.
However, her main source of income has always been the Kylie Cosmetics company, which she founded in 2015.
Kylie advertises all new products on her social networks pages. Since a huge number of people are signed up for her accounts – the star's Instagram account has more than 129 million followers – the brand is in high demand and popularity.
According to Forbes, the company employs only 12 people, while other third-party firms are involved in manufacturing, packaging, and sales. All the finances of Kylie Cosmetics are controlled by the mother of the 21-year-old billionaire, Kris Jenner, and Kylie is in charge of marketing.
The girl commented on her success:
It's the power of social media. I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything.
Currently, Jenner is estimated to own $1,000,000,000.
Well, we must give Kylie proper respect – she knows how to make social networks work for her. Moreover, there is a bit of irony in this, because, in the ranking of the youngest billionaires, she overtook one of their creators!
