In January 2018, the legendary actress Sharon Stone was a guest star on popular TV show CBS Sunday Morning.
The 60-year-old star decided to openly tell about the start of her career. However, Sharon's reaction to one of the questions surprised even the reporter, Lee Cowan.
During the interview, Sharon spoke about women's position in society 40 years ago. She says that they were taught to accommodate men's needs and be by their side. Then the reporter brought up the topic of sexual harassment scandals in Hollywood and, while they were at it, asked whether Stone's ever faced something like that.
Here's how the star reacted to this inquiry.
When Sharon was done laughing she said the following:
Can you imagine the business I stepped into 40 years ago? Looking like I look, from nowhere, Pennsylvania? I didn’t come here with any protection. I’ve seen it all!
When the movie star was asked how she protected herself, she said that she "has always been alert."
I went to parties and didn't drink, I didn't want to lose control and end up in dangerous situations. I was always alert. As soon as I felt at risk, I pretended I had to go to the bathroom, then I politely exused myself and left.
It's a pity that even such smart and talented women sometimes have to go through hardships in their lives, especially when they're also very pretty!
