Gwyneth Paltrow has suddenly appeared at the center of a serious scandal. The 46-year-old actress is facing charges for a skiing accident that took place in 2016.
What happened 3 years ago?
72-year-old Terry Sanderson sued Paltrow for breaking 4 of his ribs while skiing in Utah. In addition, the elderly man suffered a serious brain injury.
According to Sanderson, on February 26, 2016, he was hit in the back on the beginner's track at Deer Valley ski resort. Due to the strong impact, he couldn’t control his body and soon lost consciousness. Terry's friend later said it was the Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow who did it.
What is the essence of the lawsuit?
Although Sanderson denies suing Paltrow for the money, he demanded no less than $ 3.1 million in damages.

The lawsuit says that the 46-year-old actress left the injured elderly man there on the mountain and didn’t even call for help.
Why only now?
According to the 72-year-old, it took him almost three years to file a lawsuit because he couldn’t function properly due to a concussion.

Besides, he had problems with Paltrow’s lawyer. Sanderson said that he was not offered any compensation or apology, but was warned he will be sued instead.
I’m a proud person and I don’t like to be told I’m not telling the truth.
– Mr. Sanderson said.
Paltrow’s lawyers don’t deny the skiing accident but argue that she wasn’t the one who caused it. Her spokesperson Heather Wilson stated the following:
This lawsuit is without merit and we expect to be vindicated.
It is said that the accusations are based on nothing but a testimony of Sanderson’s acquaintance, Craig Ramon, as the victim himself remembers only being hit in the back and losing control over his body.
