Is there anything women won’t do for the sake of beauty and health? The body is designed in such a way that it starts signaling us when it’s time to cut on junk food. And we should listen to it! You can do sports and go on a healthy diet at least for a while. So did Jennifer Lopez.

She took part in a challenge – 10 days without sugar or high-carb foods. The average American consumes about 22 teaspoons of sugar per day: in sugary beverages, cookies, pastries, sweets, and even in condiments such as ketchup and salad dressings. But the worst of all is that processed foods you wouldn’t even expect to contain sugar can contain high amounts of it as well!

Please note that this challenge is designed only for a short period of time. And it is recommended that you consult a nutritionist who will take your individual criteria into account. Why is it so serious? Because besides soda and sweets, the challenge implies giving up other products like dairy, fruit, grains, starchy vegetables, pastry, seasonings, and, of course, no sugar in tea or coffee.

First and second day is when you realize you're addicted to sugar. It's like a drug. Now when I go back to eating a fruit in 10 days, it's going to taste like an ice cream sundae.

And now, when the challenge is almost complete, J.Lo posted a photo of the 9th day. The result is staggering! You can see her abs have become even more ripped, and her face literally radiates a healthy glow. Right on, Jennifer!
