Despite the fact that it’s been more than 20 years after Princess Diana’s tragic death, the details of her personal life continue to appear in the press and on the Internet. Some people believe that Prince Charles and Lady Di’s marriage was completely devoid of love, while others remain convinced that the couple still had feelings for each other.

Diana's personal trainer, Jenni Rivett, has decided to share her opinion about the royal couple’s relationship.

According to her, Charles was the initiator of the divorce. Rivett claimed that the princess was very fond of her husband and was trying to keep the marriage despite her husband’s affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles.

Given the choice she would have stayed and tried to make a happy marriage. She married for love. It wasn't her that asked for all of this. It was sprung upon her. She wasn't the one that wanted to separate or have a divorce.

- said Jenni.

Ms. Rivett became Diana's personal trainer in 1991 after she was recommended to the princess. The women quickly made friends and spent lots of time together. Training helped Lady Di cope with problems in the marriage and the increased attention of the public and media.

She wanted to be the Princess of Wales and the Queen of people's hearts. She wanted to be a loving mother, which she was, and a loving wife.

- told Jenni.

After Charles and Diana officially divorced, the princess was deprived of the title, which completely knocked her off balance.

I think she just felt hurt, as you would. It was just one thing after another. She had to be such an ambassador for Britain and everyone adored her and loved her and she was still the mother of the future king. Why should she lose her title?

Many sources claim that Charles didn’t want to marry Diana in the first place, whereas according to her trainer's words, the princess loved her husband, and Charles' affair was very painful to her.
