They Did It Again: Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Couldn’t Hold Back Their Feelings In Public (Video)

Date September 10, 2018 20:07

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were always different from other couples in the British royal family. From the very beginning and until recently they haven’t been shy to demonstrate their feelings publicly by holding hands or exchanging gestures of support. Even Kate and William didn’t indulge themselves in such liberties, although they are an exemplary loving couple.

Before the marriage Meghan used to hold Harry's hand quite often, which could be explained by anxiety. Queen Elizabeth has never approved of such liberties in public behavior.

And it isn’t for the lack of mutual feelings between her and Prince Philip, with whom she has been married for more than 70 years. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh represent a completely different generation. In the time of their youth, this was considered too intimate and even vulgar.

After the wedding, there’ve been obvious changes. Except for occasionally exchanging peculiar looks and hand-holding (not in the presence of Elizabeth II, of course) the young spouses have shown much more restraint.

It is possible that this was facilitated by the fact that Meghan is growing into the new character and social role, feeling less anxious and thus avoiding embarrassing moments.

It is fair to say that Markle looks more and more aristocratic with every event. She behaves differently, and changes in her style didn’t escape the eyes of women of fashion.

Also, we can see that the Duchess learned one lifehack from Kate Middleton - now her hands are more often occupied by an elegant clutch. With it, Meghan has an improvised support she previously sought in Harry.

One of the last events visited by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was the WellChild Awards. It is a charitable initiative established to reward and encourage children with serious health problems and thus celebrate their courage and struggle for life. On September 4, the 8th ceremony welcomed the organization's patron Prince Harry and his wife among other honorable guests.

Not only did they communicate with children and gave them symbolic gifts, but also had a great time. Harry showed his skills in handling a basketball, and also tried to turn a balloon into an original toy for a charming girl, one of the WellChild Awards winners.

The photos taken at the event are priceless. Both the children and high-ranking guests looked absolutely radiant. However, this atmosphere masked some “violations” of the protocol - Prince Harry simply couldn’t keep off his beautiful wife, showing his affection in every possible way.

Meghan must have thoroughly enjoyed it, however, the Duke's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, would hardly approve of it. And what do you think, aren’t the rules of conduct, dictated by the monarch, too strict? Or should all royal family members behave at least as conservatively as William and Kate?
