With the advent of modern technologies, we are all used to communicating online. Even though there may sometimes not be enough time to make a call, we always try to send a short message when necessary. Moreover, it may also save lives. For example, this mother managed to prevent a disaster with just a single message.

Sometimes, we may also mistakenly send messages to a wrong recipient. In most cases, we just forget about the incident and hardly ever recall it. However, such a mistake became a ticket to a new life for Peter Mctaggart. One day, the man dialed his spouse’s number with an error and sent several unanswered messages. Mary – the woman who received them – just ignored them at first but soon texted that he must have been wrong with the number. However, instead of excusing and forgetting about the incident, the two began to communicate.
When people stay married for many years, they may have unspoken claims and offenses. Peter and Mary shared their problems with each other for some time and even managed to become good friends. Did they think that they were destined to be together? Probably not, but both started having even more significant problems in marriages and soon divorced. Eventually, they started living together, despite the 14-year age difference!
Another funny incident also happened with a girl named Syd. She wanted to ask advice from one of her friends about her dress but accidentally sent her photos to a completely unknown man that turned out to have a wonderful sense of humor. In response to her message, she received a cute photo of his five children with them all giving her a thumbs up.

However, she soon found out that the man’s sixth child was in the hospital. She decided to publish the screenshots of their correspondence on Twitter and raised funds for the child’s treatment.
Similar incidents happen not only in the lives of ordinary people. Natalie Portman shared a similar case. Shortly after her cousin moved to Los Angeles, they began to see each other more often. Once, as usual, Portman texted to Meryl, inviting her to another family party.

To Natalie’s surprise, her sister ignored several messages. However, she soon realized that she was mistaken with the recipient and all this time she was writing to Meryl Streep! Unfortunately, the actress neither answered nor came to the party.

Similar incidents happen to many people. Although in most cases there is nothing wrong with this, it is still worth being careful not to send a person something he shouldn’t know. Have there been such funny mistakes in your life? Share your experience in the comments!
