In December of last year, an 85-year-old retiree from New Jersey learned that his wife had recovered from colon and liver cancer she has been suffering from, having undergone several difficult surgeries.
The day after the remission news, Harold went with her to a casino in Atlantic City. The man decided to play poker and bet $5.
When the dealer handed out the cards, the man saw the diamond royal flush in his hands – he couldn’t believe his eyes! The probability of this combination is 1 in 20,348,320! Harold reminisces the first words he heard from his wife after informing her he won a fortune:

I happened to be playing next to my wife. I had my back to her. I turned around said, “I just won a million dollars.” She told me, “You’re full of crap.”
The casino representatives noted that such a win has happened for the first time in 15 years.
Harold admitted that the news of his wife's recovery was more important than poker luck. The couple decided to share the money with the children and spend some of it on a cruise.
Earlier, we wrote about the plasterer, who won a million in the lottery thanks to the woman who let him be served first.
We sincerely congratulate the couple on their victory over the disease and hope that the poker win will bring them even more joyful moments and unforgettable impressions to their lives!
