6-Year-Old Girl Has Been Taking Care Of Her Paralyzed Father For Already 2 Years After Her Mother Had Left The Family

Date December 24, 2018

Many modern parents want to make their kids’ childhood unforgettable. Some keep them longer at home before school, while others don’t ask them to do much, and perhaps everybody fulfills their small innocent whims. In general, moms and dads do everything to make kids enjoy every minute. However, life is unpredictable, and there may be the circumstances when children have to grow up very early. For example, little Jia Jia has been looking after her paralyzed father for already two years. And unfortunately, this isn’t the most tragic part of the story.

The difficult life situation forced the 6-year-old girl to become strong too early. In 2016, Jia Jia’s 40-year-old father, Tian Haicheng, was involved in a car accident which paralyzed him. His taxi rushed into a ditch at high speed. The worst part here is that 2.5 months after the tragedy, the mother left the family, taking the eldest son with her. And now, the little cutie looks after the dad.

Mr. Tian says that his wife promised him to return after she would visit her mom with their eldest son for a few days. He hasn’t seen them since then.

According to Chinese media, the girl gets up at 6 a.m. to give her father a massage. Then, she washes him and brushes his teeth. She also learned how to shave his beard. After breakfast, Jia Jia goes to school.

While the girl is studying, the father’s elderly grandparents, who are engaged in farming, look after him. After the classes, she feeds her dad and helps him move around the house. They also walk outside. Little Jia Jia admits:

When I look after my father, I don’t feel tired.

Here’s what people think about the situation:

This girl, unfortunately, won’t have a childhood, but luckily, she has a huge and kind heart.

She is still so small but managed to acquire such a strong character.

This girl is an example of endless stamina and never-ending willpower.

How to teach a child take care and empathize

There is no need to wait for something bad to happen to teach a child empathize and take care of others.

  1. Start with plush toys. According to psychologists, they help develop the child’s attitude and make them more caring. Using the example of fluffy animals, tell your kid how to take care of them. Describe their emotions. The child will feed them with a spoon like you used to do it.
  2. If they ask, you can even get a pet.
  3. Let the children help you around with the household chores if they have a desire and only in case it isn’t dangerous. Don’t refuse them but explain clearly!

Share this touching story with your friends – every time you watch a video from the family’s blog, you help them survive. Let the whole world know about this kind girl. Each of us has something to learn from her!
