Famous Australian blogger and mother of five, Constance Hall, has found herself in the center of a scandal after posting a photo from a maternity ward on Facebook.

She was accused of being allegedly neglecting the newborn. However, there were those who took her side.

In the picture, Constance is lying on a hospital bed sipping a beverage and checking her phone. Meanwhile, her husband, Denim Cooke, is leaning over his son.

This shot has brought some unfavorable judgment of the public. Many social network users were indignant that the mother doesn’t spend time with her baby, absorbed in her cell instead. Later, Constance deleted all negative comments under the photo, but here are some of them:

The mom didn’t want to let it slide, so the next day she wrote the following statement:

It’s nobody’s business what a mother is doing on her phone the day she gives birth, if she’s sending her children and mother photos of the baby or googling tit jobs in Thailand it’s not your business.

Constance added:

In fact the way another mother is mothering...... is not your problem. Just to clarify for you here are 2 things that are your problems

1, if a child is being abused. Sexually, mentally, physically. Or neglected, starved or not having their medical needs met...

And 2, YOUR children.

Many mothers supported the blogger, shared their stories, and posted their maternity ward pictures on her page.

Many subscribers agreed that after giving birth, any woman deserves time for anything – be it a fizzy drink or just rest. Moreover, it’s Constance’s fifth baby. There is nothing wrong with father filling in, while the wife takes a minute to herself.

Do you consider this behavior OK, or do you think that after giving birth a mother must spend every second with her child? Share your thoughts in the comments!
