# Logical Puzzle From An Innovative School. Can You Solve It?

We know we can solve simple logical puzzles if we are given enough time. But what about cutting edge mathematical methods that are already being taught in schools?

To the shame of many adults, some of them are too difficult to grasp without a detailed explanation from a pupil.

Here is a real task from a course book of a middle schooler.

There are five schematics. Figure out the pattern in each, according to the way they are built.

Hint: the same method of calculation applies to the first three circles, but it’s more complex in the other two.

To understand the pattern in tasks a), b), and c), pay attention to the number inside the circle. The sum of the numbers around the perimeter of the circle must equal its value.

In tasks d) and e), there only two numbers inside each pyramid – in d) it’s 6 and 1, while in e) it’s 4 and 3. The pyramids are mirrored images of each other with a single distinction that the sets of numbers are different.

The sum of the numbers increases from the top down by 1 in pyramid d) and by 3 in pyramid e).
