Define 'Perfect'? A Blogger Demonstrated What She’d Look Like If She Had The ‘Ideal’ Body Throughout History

Most of us know how unpredictable and ever-changing fashion can be. And it is not only about clothes or makeup, but fashion also dictates the standards of the figure. Not to mention that everyone has their own ideas about beauty.
The standards imposed by society and glossy magazines have a strong impact on how we perceive our own and others' bodies. The ‘ideals’ of beauty change every few years. You may have noticed that only a couple of years ago, the bikini bridge and slim legs with thighs gap were in, now it is the likes of Kim Kardashian that everyone, including some men, are trying to look like.
In order to prove that it’s completely useless to follow trends, the popular US fitness blogger Cassey Ho showed how beauty standards have changed throughout history.
For this, the girl resorted to Photoshop.
The 'perfect' body throughout history
2018: Thin waist, big buttocks
Mid 1990s – early 2000s: Full bust, long legs
1990s: Super skinny
1950s: Hourglass shape
1920s: Boyish figure
1400s – 1700s: Large hips, rounded stomach, ample bosom
Cassey urges women to stop treating their bodies like clothes that go in and out of style. Why chase after something that will change in a couple of years?
Please treat your body with love and respect and do not succumb to the beauty standard. Embrace your body because it is YOUR own perfect body.
