Women whose figure or appearance don’t match “ideals” imposed by society tend to suffer from body-shaming. They are criticized on social media and in real life; their pictures are ridiculed and used to advertise weight loss products. All this causes emotional trauma and makes women insecure.

It is especially difficult for mothers whose body has been transformed by childbirth. Sometimes it is difficult for them to accept their new selves while other people only add to their suffering. However, there are women who are willing to fight back and support others.

Kristyn Dingman, a young mother, wife, and body-positivity advocate shows the "imperfections" of her postpartum body in her Instagram microblog.

In this way, she wants to make it clear to other women that they are not alone and they don’t have to be shy of their bodies. The main thing is to love oneself in any size, shape, or skin condition.

Grateful for this motivation, many women leave nice comments under her posts. However, there was one reader who decided to criticize the blogger in a nasty comment:

You're just lazy, how does your husband look at your belly?

To Kristyn’s credit, she didn’t respond in kind but simply deleted the comment. She wrote a post claiming she felt sorry for the troll and showed how important it is to support one another instead of putting others down.

We can’t grow or be united as a strong sex if we are constantly at war.

Empowered women empower women and that’s what I plan to do.

What do you think about the lady’s inspiring response? Should young mommies spend weeks and months on getting back in shape, or is it better to devote this time to the children and family? Write your opinion, please.
