Date May 22, 2018

Aged skin undergoes different changes: wrinkles, excessive dryness, loss of elasticity, and the face gets less distinctly contoured. These problems can often flag the spirits at 35. It is already useless to fight them with home masks or massage. Cosmetologists recommend adding salon procedures, but you need to know that some of them will not provide intensive rejuvenation. Here is a list of 5 procedures which are not effective for everyone.

1. Mesotherapy

Even if you are most careful in applying creams and masks, many nutrients can’t reach to the deepest layers of the skin. Thus, cosmetologists suggest considering mesotherapy. A drug, enriched with vitamins or hyaluronic acid, is injected into your skin. But in fact, their concentration is low. It works miracles on the skin just beginning to aging, but after 35 it is recommended to go with biorevitalization, bioremediation, and fillers.

2. Deep peels

After 35, some women resort to deep peeling. This is a very serious procedure that requires being conducted under anesthesia, and rehabilitation can take from 2 to 6 weeks. It is prescribed in case of injuries, scars, or burns. At the same time, there is a huge risk of skin damage. Do you really need it?

3. Laser skin resurfacing

Many cosmetologists promise real skin rejuvenation after using a laser. Initially, this method was used to eliminate disfiguring scars. There are a lot of drawbacks: Skin can redden for up to 6 months, also there is a chance to trigger off acne and hyperpigmentation, herpes or dermatitis exacerbation. Andrey Korbut, a plastic surgeon, says:

Don’t be expecting too much of this method, unless you want to remove scars, that are really hard to live with

4. Oxygen peeling

Cosmetologists advise undergoing ultrasonic cleanings, peelings, including oxygen machine Jet Peel before you turn 25. This will allow you to look better than peers at 30. But there are no special indications for its use on more aged skin. However, the effect is not lasting as well.

5. Hard scrubbing

It was OK for you to rub your face with hard scrubs at 25, but after 35 you shouldn’t thin your skin with such a radical method. Go with soft facial care products, or even better, replace them with an electric brush.

It differs for every person. Somebody buys their first anti-wrinkle cream only at 35. These were general recommendations of expert cosmetologists, based on their practice with numerous clients.
