Nocturia is a medical term that describes excessive urination at night. If you need to go to the toilet several times every night, it’s a bad sign. While sleeping, your body produces less urine. This means that most people don’t need to wake up at night to go to the toilet. An average night sleep lasts for about 6-8 hours. So, if you need to wake up two or more times to go to the toilet, this could be a negative health condition.

What could be the reason for frequent urination?

1. Too much liquid

If you drink too much right before going to bed, then you'll need to go to the toilet. It's advised to not drink large amounts of liquids before sleep. Alcoholic or caffeinated drinks are also detrimental to a good night's sleep.
