Stress and anxiety can hurt our lives. Not only do our own emotions suffer, but our personal relationships with loved ones deteriorate as well. Doctors still don't know exactly why people suffer from these conditions.
There are many different medications that reduce stress and anxiety. However, remember that most pills only relieve symptoms and aren't really cures!
Here are 7 simple procedures that will boost your mood!
1. Re-evaluate your diet
Add foods with anti-inflammatory properties such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, seaweed, seeds and natural oils, to your diet. Give up sugar and caffeine, which raises cortisol, a stress hormone. Like they say, you are what you eat!
2. Try aromatherapy

Herbs and essential oils can help relax the nervous system.
Here are the most effective ones:
- mandarin orange;
- rose flower;
- melissa flower.
Caution: do not apply essential oils directly to the skin, as they can cause severe allergic reactions!
3. Meditate every day

Meditation can help you eliminate negative thoughts and help you relax. Meditating just 5-10 minutes each day will help improve your mental health.
4. Be physically active
Exercise improves the neurotransmitters in our brain. Activities associated with deep breathing such as yoga, taichi and pilates are particularly effective in reducing stress. Also walking, dancing, and running are excellent for preventing anxiety and panic attacks.
5. Use water to relax
A hot and cold shower can greatly help us to reduce stress. This not only improves our mood and general well-being, but also strengthens the body's immune system. Taking a hot bath or swimming in a natural pond can really help relieve emotional and muscular tension.
6. Listen to music

Music can change the way our brain works. To relieve anxiety and stress, it is better to listen to smooth and slow melodies, which can be found in classical music. Ambient music also helps calm us down.
Try to lose yourself in music for 20 minutes a day. You might even forget about some problems in life!
7. Let out your emotions
Talk about your problems with loved ones. They can help you analyze things from a different perspective.
Most importantly, don't hold your anxiety in!
