When you feel like munching on something fresh for dinner, the first thing that comes to mind is a napa cabbage salad. They are low-calorie, super easy to make, and can be used in a wide variety of combinations. If you decide to eat healthy, you can eat cabbage the whole week and you won't get bored.
Napa cabbage will brighten up your dining table
We've selected three easy recipes of delightful salads where napa cabbage is the main ingredient and the rest is a leap of imagination.
1. With cucumber
Combine chopped cabbage, 2 cucumbers (cut into small sticks) and one onion cut in half rings.
Prepare a salad dressing from olive oil and lemon juice. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can use pomegranate instead of the lemon to give the salad a unique tangy twist.
Toss the vegetables in a big bowl, adding the dressing and some herbs.
2. With croutons
Chop the cabbage. Add half a tin of sweet canned corn.
Cut bread into small cubes. Cook them on a dry frying pan till crisp. You can also cut it into thin slices.
Use olive oil and lemon juice to make a dressing, pour it over the vegetables, then add salt and pepper to taste.
Add croutons before serving. Don't leave it for a long time or else the croutons will get soggy.
3. With bell pepper and cheese
Tear the cabbage into small pieces with your hands. Cut bell pepper, tomatoes, and hard cheese into cubes of about the same size.
Dress it with olive oil and add salt to taste.
Optional extra: Prepare croutons by cooking a baguette in the oven or in a dry frying pan. Use them to decorate the salad.
