How to grow a date palm tree from a seed

  1. For planting, take dried or air dried dates and remove the pulp. Gardeners advise to take the seeds of the Robelen’s date - a short palm tree growing in several trunks. Then rinse them and soak in water for several days. Change the water every 8-10 hours.
  2. Take a pot with holes in the bottom, first put the pebble in it for drainage. Then add a substrate from a mixture of peat and sand.
  3. Sow the seeds half an inch in a moist soil. Put the pot in a warm place. When the first leaves appear, wipe them with a damp cotton pad.
  4. When the sprouts grow up to 15 centimeters, plant them in separate pots with soil containing peat, sand, vegetable soil, and humus.

  2. Fertilize the soil weekly from spring to late autumn. In winter, do it once a month.
  3. Water the palm with warm settled water two-three times a week in spring and summer, once a week in winter. Make sure the soil is not too wet, which can kill the plant.
