Date July 17, 2019 12:31

Changes in fashion are perpetual and swift. Yet, you don’t have to blindly follow all the trends to be stylish. On the contrary, sometimes you just need to drop the dead weight that spoils your appearance and prevents you from becoming an icon of style.

So, you've decided to sort out your style once and for all. What should you pay attention to first?

1. Lack of a proper haircut

A correct haircut is the basics! At 20-30, you looked gorgeous with natural, neatly cropped hair, but after 50, most likely, the same haircut will make you look dull and unstylish. Try to find a hair master to help you choose a new hairstyle based on your appearance and lifestyle.

2. Strange color combinations

Sometimes we all feel the need for bright colors and unusual combinations, especially during the cold season. However, a riot of colors in clothes often looks ridiculous. To avoid making a wrong move, try to buy clothing of basic colors – white, black, beige, khaki. Not only do they go perfectly well with one another, but also look expensive by themselves.

3. Too many or too few accessories

When it comes to jewelry and accessories, you need to know when is enough and how to combine them properly. If you have no clue what goes with what, then take it as a rule to wear no more than 2 or 3 accessories at once, excluding the clutch and gloves. For example, it could be a neckerchief, earrings, and a bracelet. Or a necklace, earrings, and a wristwatch.

4. False lashes

False eyelashes are still many women’s magic wand. They are convenient and time-saving, especially in the morning. However, it all depends on the volume. Black, thick, and long eyelashes look cheap and tacky. It is better to go for close to natural volume and choose lashes only a bit longer and darker than your own.

5. Poorly applied shellac on the nails

Shellac, like eyelashes, is a great aid to a busy woman. Pay attention to the quality of the manicure. The coating should be carefully applied in the thinnest layer possible.

Being stylish and well-tended is not hard at all. The main thing is to take a fresh look at yourself once in a while and abandon anti-trends. Do you agree?
