Many may think that Organic Basics, the company that invented the wonder-underpants, wanted to encourage laziness. However, this is not quite so. The main reason is saving the environment.

Here's what 27-year-old Mads Fibiger, a CEO and co-founder of the company, tells about the invention.

Washing and drying account for two-thirds of the total impact on the environment, and that is why Organic Basics got started on their underwear.

The company claims that the underwear is coated with silver, which kills 99.9% of all bacteria and odors. In this case, the underwear is made of 100% recycled materials.

What is dangerous about laundry detergents?

The founders of Organic Basics say that their production needs to be washed less frequently – once or twice a month – which is good for both wearer and the environment. After all, washing powders are harmful for the environment as well as for people.

Laundry detergent is never washed out of the fabrics completely. If the remaining substances have an irritating effect, people get rashes, redness, itching, or peeling. The toxic substances entering the body through the skin can accumulate and lead to problems with internal organs.
