When the fridge is empty or when you are tired of your usual recipes, onion cutlets are perfect for a light dinner or lunch. They can be served alone or with a side dish. In addition, they have absolutely no pungent smell, with which onions scare many people off.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • onion - 2-3 pcs.;
  • potatoes - 1 pc.;
  • semolina - 3 tbsp.;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • vegetable oil;
  • tomato juice – 34 oz;
  • salt, pepper.

Finely chop the onions. You can use a hand blender or a kitchen machine for this. Finely grate the potatoes, add seasonings, and mix thoroughly. Add semolina. Leave it for 15 minutes, then heat the pan, pour some sunflower oil, form the cutlets and fry them on both sides until golden brown. Separately, grate the carrot and simmer it in a deep frying pan for 5-7 minutes, pour in tomato juice, and add the cutlets. Stew them on low heat for about 20-30 minutes. And - enjoy your meal!
