Since Meghan Markle joined the British royal family, she has had to make countless changes in her life and conform to a myriad of protocols, but she’s not out of the woods yet. Now the Duchess will also have to change the way she receives her Christmas gifts.
Can Meghan Markle receive Christmas gifts?
Although many people envy Meghan Markle, way fewer people realize how many sacrifices this dream-come-true cost her.
Now, for example, it came to light that there is one thing she won’t be able to do as long as she belongs to the British royal family. The Duchess of Sussex can no longer receive gifts on Christmas Day.
The British royal family’s tradition to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ does not involve receiving gifts on Christmas Day, as is customary in the United States and many other countries in the world. Their German descent and traditions dictate them to exchange gifts on Christmas Eve.
Will there be other rules to follow this Christmas?
This will be the first time Meghan Markle spends Christmas with the British royal family and, as many rightly assumed, there will be other rules to observe.

For example, everyone will spend the holidays together under the roof of Sandringham House in Norfolk, where Christmas has been historically celebrated. Then, they will all go to church in the morning and, yes, they can put up their own Christmas tree.
As you can see, there are many rules that Meghan Markle is expected to observe. Let's hope that she will have a lovely time with her new family!
