For this reason, the first-born of Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI, Princess Leonor, was invited to give her first public speech. The girl pronounced the most important part of the constitutional text; particularly, the first of its articles.

As expected, even Queen Letizia couldn’t conceal her emotions when she saw her daughter appear on stage to say her first words to the public; the first of many that will come, considering that she is the heir to the throne.

Sitting in the front row, the Queen seemed excited and smiled with pride the entire time. The wife of Felipe VI didn’t look away for a second when her daughter was pronouncing the constitutional lines and tried her best to hide her tears of emotion.

Although Queen Letizia has always shown herself to be a very serious and stern woman, the personal growth of her daughter Leonor has definitely influenced her mindset. The proud mother must have taken a deep breath, drawn the most beautiful smile on her face, and come to realise that her little Leonor is no longer a baby.
