The fashion world has finally found a new queen, or at least that is what Kendall Jenner’s bank account seems to imply. The 22-year-old model has taken Gisele Bundchen’s place as the best-paid model in the world.
The American model has stolen Gisele’s crown, which the Brazilian top model has worn for more than 15 consecutive years, since 2002. According to the rumors, Kim Kardashian’s sister earned 22 million dollars in 2017, while Gisele accumulated 17.5 million. Jenner reached such an astronomical income mostly due to the power exercised by her 85 million followers on Instagram alone, which has resulted in fashion jobs throughout the whole world, and contracts with brands such as Estée Lauder, La Perla, and Adidas.
In addition, Kendall still profits from her appearances on the family reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashians, and from the clothing business she has with her youngest sister, Kylie Jenner.
At 37, Gisele has had one of the slowest years of her career. After retiring from the catwalk, the blond still signed some contracts, but ended up losing more than half of her expected income in comparison to last year, when it was over 30 million dollars.
