The group was split in 1982, saying that they would never reunite. In 2008, Bjorn Ulvaeus dismissed the rumors about the reunion:

There is simply no motivation to regroup. Money is not a factor and we would like people to remember us as we were.

But, as they say, never say never!

The band released a joint statement on social media, which pronounced:

We all four felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio. So we did.

The band members - Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, and Benny Andersson - added:

It was like time had stood still and that we only had been away on a short holiday. An extremely joyful experience!

The loyal ABBA's fans took to Twitter to share their excitement:

The band was famous for their hits “Mamma Mia,” “Dancing Queen,” “The Winner Takes It All,” “Waterloo,” “Happy New Year,” and many more, as well as their outrageous glitzy outfits.
