The phenomenon of the so-called ‘blood moon’ happens when the moon is in full eclipse. At this period, the Earth sits in between the sun and moon. As a result, the moon gets in the Earth’s shadow and the sun reflects a bright red light on it.
What should we expect from this lunar phenomenon?
There are a lot of suggestions that the blood moon phenomenon may cause natural disasters and unpleasant events. Well, for now on, scientists do not confirm this information.
During the blood moon, aged people and patients with low blood pressure and cardiovascular disorders may suffer from headaches and minor ailments.
There is also one common myth considering this lunar event. According to doomsday preachers, it will be the end of the world. The blood moon theory says:
The sun will turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.

But please, don’t panic. As we know, similar hypotheses were previously made in 2007 and 2014, but the world is still here. So, the theory of ‘Armageddon’ may be easily dismissed by astronomers and other scientists.
