3 Yoga Poses That Will Help With Weight Loss

If you want to engage your brain and your body, yoga is the best practice for it. But it also can be used as a tool for weight loss. While doing each pose, you make every muscle in your bodywork, which helps to burn calories.

We chose 3 of the best poses that will increase your strength, tighten your core, and boost weight loss. Hold each pose for 30 seconds and repeat the flow 5 times.

1. Downward Dog

Start the flow with your hands and feet firmly planted on the mat. Pull your belly button in and lift your tailbone up to the air. Press your palms to the mat and draw your heels to the floor as close as possible. Look towards your feet and take deep breaths in and out.

2. Moving Plank

Take a high plank pose. Squeeze your thighs together and press your hands to the mat. Line your hips with the floor and pull your belly button in. Start taking deep breaths and lower your body down to a forearm plank. Stay in this pose for a couple of breaths and come back to the starting position.

3. Rocking Boat

Sit on the mat and bend your knees. Lean back and then straighten your legs and raise them up. Make sure to keep your back straight. On an inhale, extend your arms and keep your legs together. Exhale and on an inhale lower your legs and upper body a few inches. Exhale and raise your legs and upper body up.

These 3 yoga poses will help to firm your butt, arms, and abs. Practicing them on a regular basis will increase insulin production, which will make your body use food as fuel and not store it as fat.
