5 Natural Remedies To Get Rid Of A Nasty Cold

  4. A little honey boiled in water for 5 minutes. Then use this lukewarm liquid to gargle with.

If you need to treat a runny nose and cough, then ginger root consumed in the form of tea is what you need. In addition, ginger consumed in moderate amounts can lower your fever and promotes restful sleep. As for thyme, it is a perfect bronchopulmonary and nasal decongestant.

It is recommended to use it as an essential oil for inhalation or to infuse some twigs to make a herbal tea. To prepare it, put a small spoon of thyme in a cup of boiling water, cover it and let it steep for 10 to 15 minutes. Do not forget to filter the tea before drinking it.
