The royal family celebrated Easter this year at St. George's Chapel in Windsor, where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are due to wed on May 19.

Even Prince William and the heavily pregnant Duchess of Cambridge made it to the festive celebration.

Kate looked elegant in a classic dark coat and matching hat. William and Kate were the last royals to arrive, driven down the hill to the chapel in a car and going in a few minutes after the scheduled 10.45 am start time.

But the former Suits star and her husband-to-be were noticeably absent, which would have been Ms. Markle’s first Easter with the royal family.

After the church service, the Queen met local children who also attended the ceremony. Her Majesty was presented with a bouquet of flowers, before returning home with her family.

Why Harry and Meghan were absent

Palace officials say the royal couple may have opted to celebrate the holiday in private and away from the public eye.

While it's not known for sure where they spent the weekend, the lovebirds were most likely enjoying some downtime.

With only 47 days left until the royal wedding, Kensington Palace announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding invitations have been sent out, and they are just as gorgeous as you'd expect.

Invitations to the wedding have been posted to 600 lucky guests, with a select 200 close friends invited to an after party at Frogmore House.

The invitations also reveal that the dress code for guests attending the nuptials is Uniform, Morning Coat or Lounge Suit, and for females, Day Dress with Hat.
