There have always been very divergent views on the issue of kissing children on the lips. Many parents consider it a harmless action. For them, it is just another way of showing affection. However, some other people say it is not an advisable practice, especially for older kids.

American psychologist Charlotte Reznick says that the lips are an erogenous zone, and children may get confused when kissed on the lips. She says they could mistake the action as a romantic gesture.

Dan Osborne is a father of two. His first son Teddy is from a previous relationship with Meghan Tomlin. Ella Selina is Dan’s daughter with wife Jacqueline Jossa.

Fans of the star were quick to react to the internet troll. Not long after, the original comment was taken down, but many fans continued to speak against it.

Other parents kiss their children

Dan is not the only celebrity parent who kisses his children on the lips. Retired footballer David Beckham defended kissing his daughter on the lips last year when some of his followers were raising dust.

It is important that parents adhere to certain boundaries in communicating with children. If we consider a kiss on the lips as a way of expressing affection, then there is nothing unacceptable in this gesture.
