Michael Moore Participated In Anti-Trump Rally Allegedly Organized By Russians

Date February 22, 2018

Michigan born filmmaker Michael Moore was raised Irish Catholic. He says that his religious leanings contribute a lot to his current stand on politics and activism. However, Moore is more liberal than party-affiliated as the Catholic Church and its principles are not entirely partial to any brand of politics.

Furthermore, he has been particularly vocal about his distaste for President Trump. He even participated in anti-Trump campaigns after the election in November 2016.

In addition, Michael Moore in Trumpland received a lot of angst from the Republicans. His biting criticism of Trump and the Republican party has earned him a reputation in American politics.

Well before the election, Moore predicted a Trump's win. Still, he fought to mobilize Americans against voting for Trump in the presidential elections.

He attended a Russian organized rally

Government prosecutors on Friday announced the indictment of several Russians for meddling in the US elections. The individuals were accused of organizing anti-Trump rallies in hopes of sowing discord in the process. And the November 12th rally was one of them.

Moore was at the Manhattan event and even shared a video of himself and other protesters at the “Trump is NOT my President” protest. They marched all the way from Union Square to Trump Tower

The irony and the backlash

From accusing Trump of collusion with the Russians, Moore is now being accused of the same.

Was he aware of the connection?

Last year, Moore wrote on Facebook:

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what was going on: TRUMP COLLUDING WITH THE RUSSIANS TO THROW THE ELECTION TO HIM.

Now, many Americans are wondering how Moore and the Democrats will explain the irony. And Moore is yet to make any comment on the situation.
