The recent fire at Trump Tower, which injured six firemen and killed one resident, is one of the many accidents at commercial buildings happening every day in the US. There are multiple causes of fire in the commercial buildings, such as human errors, cooking or heating fires, or intentional acts. However, the biggest concern should be how well are the emergency systems, in this case, fire prevention, are working. And it looks like there was a huge flaw in the Trump Tower protection system after all.

Back in 1998, Donald Trump tried to fight the legislation according to which every commercial building had to install water sprinkles in every room. The reason for Trump's dislike of such a rule was its cost. Each sprinkler amounted to $4 per square root, which the famous businessmen deemed too expensive.

Unfortunately, Trump prevailed, and the bill was changed, allowing existing and new buildings not to install sprinklers, if they had permits.

It's infuriating to think that Trump's desire to save some money might've caused serious injuries and death of a person. But it looks like he embraced his love of money long ago, and at this point, there is no hope of him changing his ways. "I’m very greedy. I’m a greedy person. I shouldn’t tell you that, I’m a greedy – I’ve always been greedy," the president once admitted.
