'Golden Ratio' SaidThat Meghan Markle Could Beat Kate Middleton To Be Named The Most Attractive Female Royal

Date March 7, 2018

Science says that American actress Meghan Markle is the most attractive female royal. The future bride came the closest to 100 percent based on the 'golden ratio'.

The Golden Ratio is a mathematical equation invented by the Ancient Greeks. It was created in order to measure 'perfect' physical beauty. Leonardo Da Vinci used this ratio for the perfect human male body.

According to the ratio, people are beautiful if the length of their face is exactly one and a half times bigger than its width. Another important criterion is the symmetry of the face. In order to indicate that, there need to be three measurements taken: the distance from a person’s hairline to the central point between the eyes, from the central point between the eyes to the tip of their nose, and from the tip of their nose to the chin. If those three measurements are equal, then the Ancient Greeks would call this person an etalon of beauty.

Surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva measured Meghan Markle’s face and compared it to Kate Middleton, Zara Phillips, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie, who came in places two to five, respectively.

The 36-year-old American beauty scored 87.4 percent and took the crown. Dr. Julian De Silva said:

Meghan has an almost perfectly shaped nose with a 98.5 per cent score, her eye position is exactly right and she has a gorgeous V-shaped or heart-shaped chin which is the shape women most covet.

The Duchess of Cambridge took the second place with 86.8 percent. Dr. Julian De Silva commented:

Kate stands out for having a perfect gap between her nose and lips and very strong eye spacing. She was marked down for having a weaker chin and jawline than Meghan. She is a striking woman and her scores mark her out as one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Not all celebrities, who are considered beautiful, scored as high as you might think. Beyonce Knowles scored 7.28 percent, Kate Upton – 7.46, Angelina Jolie – 7.13. From male heartthrobs, the highest score got Brad Pitt with 9.67 percent. His good friend George Clooney scored 6.77, and a dream man for many women, Ryan Gosling, scored 7.3 percent.

Do you think using the ‘golden ratio’ is the right way to indicate if the person is beautiful or not?
