Meghan Markle's half-brother is still waiting for an invitation to the royal wedding, even though the official invites have already been sent.

Despite the fact that he hasn’t seen the Suit actress since 2011, when they attended the funeral of their grandmother in Los Angeles, and that she didn’t respond to a congratulatory note he sent after the news about her engagement, Thomas Markle Jr. thinks his half-sister will invite him.

In an interview with In Touch, 51-year-old Thomas revealed that he tried to reach out to his half-sister, seeking for her help dealing with the international scrutiny. He said:

My lawyer had a phone meeting with her lawyer, and he emailed me some of [Meghan’s] direct words. She said, ‘That’s distant family and I don’t know those people.’ That’s pretty harsh.

Thomas thinks it’s ‘ridiculous” that she calls him a stranger since they spent a lot of time together growing up.

He spoke to DailyMailTV after the official invites to the wedding were sent out:

I haven't got an invite yet but I do expect to get one. It would be really nice [to get an invitation] and it would mean a lot. I'm looking forward to going. I don't see why not. It is what it is. I am family, estranged or not.

He is not the only one member of Meghan's family who hasn't been invited. Tyler Dooley, Markle's nephew, and his mother Tracy Dooley, weren’t invited as well.

It is very likely that only Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and her reclusive father, Thomas Markle Sr., will represent Markle’s family at the wedding. The actress also might invite her friends and Suit colleagues.
