6 Minutes 20 Seconds Equals To 17 Lost Lives: Emma González Commemorates Parkland Victims In Her Powerful Speech

March for Our Lives has taken place on Saturday in Washington. The main event was held in this city, while there were the local ones as well. Initiated by students after a horrifying shooting at Parkland school and supported by lots of celebrities, the march was aimed at making the authorities do something about gun laws in the country.

Emma González, just a student, but at the same time a survivor of the shooting in Parkland. She delivered a touching speech dedicated to her friends who lost their lives in the shooting. She stood on the stage for 6 minutes and 20 seconds. It’s the time during which the killer shot to death 17 people at her school.

Since the time that I came out here," she said, "it has been 6 minutes and 20 seconds. The shooter has ceased shooting and will soon abandon his rifle, blend in with the students as they escape and walk free for an hour before arrest.

Her speech was so powerful that no words could express the state everyone was in after she left the stage. Twitter users applauded the girl who proved that silence could be even more powerful than words.
