Hero Dog Risks His Life And Gets Life-Threatening Shots While Protecting His 16-Year-Old ‘Best Friend’ From Burglars
One of every thirty-six homes in the USA is burglarized every year. Such a figure might seem insignificant to you, especially if it’s not your house. However, the amount of loss that equals $2,230 sounds a bit more impressive and frightening at the same time.
And a person can’t be sure that in case of a burglary, he or she will have such a loyal dog by their side as Rex. It’s a 2-year-old German shepherd was the one who saved the life of his 16-year-old friend from armed burglars. The boy was in the house when they broke in and hid in his closet upstairs. The brave dog ran downstairs trying to oust the unwelcomed guests from the house but got beaten and injured. When the burglars approached the room, the boy was hiding, and the dog threw himself at them and was shot multiple times.
Just visited Rex at the Vet with the teen he was defending when home burglars shot him several times yesterday in Des Moines He is sedated for pain and surgery. #Q13Fox @catchwmw pic.twitter.com/gN66T69IMe

That’s how the faithful dog sacrificed his life for his best friend. Luckily, it turned out pretty fine for the dog. He is alive but needs some surgeries.

It’s not the first and won’t be the last story about such heroic dogs. And even the smallest of them like the Chihuahua Zoe from Colorado, who saved a 1-year-old baby from an approaching three-foot rattlesnake.
