“I Love My First Wife Very Much,” Sean Penn Opens Up About His Feelings For Madonna After 30 Years Of Separation

It was back in 1989 when Madonna filed for divorce from her husband of 4 years, Sean Penn. They said the decision was amicable and that was something necessary, especially in view of the turbulent years, they had together.

Now, it’s 30 years after their divorce, and Sean Penn isn’t afraid to make quite loud statements. So, when he’s been recently asked to choose between Britney Spears and his ex-wife Madonna, his answer was very quick and certain. Of course, he picked Madonna saying:

Ah, I love my first wife very much. There’s no… you don’t compare those things.

To make the story clear, it was during the Late Show Sean appeared in, and the host Stephen Colbert had him pick the top pop princess.

Even though their marriage wasn’t an easy one, they still have a pretty great attitude towards each other. It says a lot about you when your ex-wife defends you when others accuse you of abuse. And that’s what Madonna did for Sean saying:
