Lead In 'Babette's Feast' Stephane Audran Has Died At The Age Of 85

Stéphane Audran was one of the top French celebrities of the 70s. Her acting in such movies as The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, Just Before Nightfall, and Babette's Feast has brought her not only the admiration of the fans from all over the world but also a number of the most renowned awards.

Among them, there were both an Oscar for The Best Foreign Language Film and a French César Award for Best Supporting Actress. It’s been recently announced that the screen star has died aged 85. In addition to the awards mentioned above, she was awarded a Bafta for her acting in such films as The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and Just Before Nightfall. Together with Claude Chabrol, her husband, they made 25 films that brought them recognition all over the world.
